I'm finally back online after a eight days of being down. It was caused by my internet provider (CIC Wireless) who installed a new gateway server. This new server failed to dynamically issue IP addresses (DHCP). Once I set up a static IP, I was able to ping out ok, but couldn't transfer files. This was finally fixed by CIC changing channels on one of their towers. It has been a stressful eight days. Today I'm trying to resolve the final two issues, 1) outgoing email being rejected (a Qmail setting I think), and 2), the Miah's router needs either a static IP or CIC needs to solve the DHCP problem. |

Seven of us guys from the Central Coast converged in San Francisco this weekend for the 31st annual Western Roundup, Living Sober conference. The event runs from Friday, June 30 through Sunday, July 2. In addition to the event functions, we spent time eating lunch and dinner. We took MUNI to the Castro district for dinner at the Sausage Factory and had a great meal. Joe and I are staying at the Adante Hotel in the Union Square area, right next to the Tenderloin district. Not the best neighborhood, but a decent hotel, which we found on the spur of the moment at Hotels.com. |

It's now summertime in SLO. The hills are no longer green, but the dry grass has a beauty of its' own. The road to my home is dry and completely passible. The temps are warm enough to ride my motorcycle frequently. It's staying light until almost 9pm now which makes going to bed early enough to get up at 3am very difficult. The cats are loving their new freedom to go outside. They stay close by the house now and when the door is open, actually spend a lot of their time inside. All they need is the freedom to know that they can go out. |

Slices In Time is a personal website published by me, Gary Edberg. Its' main purpose is to house a huge inventory of photographs, organized chronologically from as early as 1880 to the present time. There are over 6,000 images so far with more being added frequently. My mom, Patricia has submitted over 4,000 of the images all located in the Edberg Photo Archive. Please enjoy the photos and if you feel so inclined, feel free to leave comments about any of the photos you see in the gallery.
